Outstanding Service Award for an Alumni Chapter

Outstanding Alumni Chapter

The Outstanding Service Award honors the Delta Sigma Pi alumni chapter that plans and implements the most effective and comprehensive program of service to others. In addition to a national winner, the Fraternity also recognizes provincial winners of this award.

Alumni chapters receiving the award are recognized at Grand Chapter Congress or a fall LEAD School and in The DELTASIG. Winning chapters also receive a certificate commemorating their selection.

Application

Alumni chapter officers apply for the Outstanding Service Award via the Hub Awards Module. All applications must be received by June 1 for consideration—no late applications are accepted or reviewed—and must contain the following information:

  • Documentation that the alumni chapter is franchised for the Fraternity’s fiscal year.
  • Documentation of participation in at least one of the Fraternity’s national service initiatives.
  • A description of all community service events and activities conducted by the alumni chapter during the Fraternity’s current fiscal year including:
    • Attendance numbers, where applicable
    • Audiences served and results achieved
    • The chapter’s role in the event
  • Other relevant supporting items, such as photos of chapter functions, newspaper articles, letters, and the like, as available.
