Delta Sigma Pi presents the Outstanding Alumni Chapter Award on an annual basis to the alumni chapter of Delta Sigma Pi which, through its actions and activities, best promotes the aims and ideals stated in the Purpose of the Fraternity. In addition to a national winner, the Fraternity also recognizes provincial winners of this award.
Alumni chapters receiving the award are recognized at Grand Chapter Congress or a fall LEAD School and in The DELTASIG. Winning chapters also receive a certificate commemorating their selection.
Application
Alumni chapter officers apply for the Outstanding Alumni Chapter Award via the Hub Awards Module. All applications must be received by June 1 for consideration—no late applications are accepted or reviewed—and must contain the following information:
- Documentation that the chapter is franchised for the Fraternity’s current fiscal year.
- Documentation that the alumni chapter does not owe any money to the Central Office as of June 1 of the year the chapter applies for the award.
- A discussion of activities and events during the Fraternity’s current fiscal year in the operational areas listed below. Attendance numbers should be included where applicable.
- Professional activities
- Community service activities
- Brotherhood/social activities
- Collegiate chapter interaction
- National Fraternity involvement such as attendance at area and regional conferences, LEAD School, LEAD Provincial Conferences, Grand Chapter Congress, and the like.
- Fraternity volunteer positions held by chapter members, such as District Director, provincial or national committee chair/member, and the like.
- Education of members regarding the Delta Sigma Pi Leadership Foundation and support given to the Foundation.
- The number of members in good standing in the alumni chapter.
- The percentage of actively participating members.
- Other relevant supporting items, such as photos of chapter functions, newspaper articles, letters, and so forth, as available.
