The Certified Deltasig Leader Program, or CDL, is a great way to build and demonstrate the leadership skills you gain in Delta Sigma Pi. The program, which is geared toward alumni, is helpful and suggested for alumni considering leadership positions.
Effective March 1, 2022, District Directors and Assistant District Directors must be a Tier 1 Certified Deltasig Leader to be appointed. Additionally, anyone planning to run for a Board or Regional Vice President position must complete both Tier 1 and Tier 2 Certified Deltasig Leader prior to being elected.

CDLs receive a certificate, ribbon for their Grand Chapter Congress name badge and can add certification on their LinkedIn Profile. Certification in both tiers is effective for two years. Renewals may begin 90 days before expiration to avoid interruption of the certification.
Steps to become a Tier 1 Certified Deltasig Leader

- Successfully complete the requirements for Tier 1 certification.
- Demonstrate that you have participated in or have lead educational sessions at two Fraternity events within the previous five years, including:
- Complete the following Tier 2 e-learning modules, in addition to those outlined in the Tier 1 certification list above, within a three month period via the Deltasig Online Learning System:
- Risk Management
- Organizational Structure
- Check your progress.

- Complete the new Tier 1 and Tier 2 CDL courses via the Deltasig Online Learning System:
- Volunteer Leadership 101 (Tier 1)
- Deltasig Operations for Leaders (Tier 1)
- Risk Management (Tier 2)
- Organizational Structure (Tier 2)
- Complete the new Diversity, Equity & Inclusion Unconscious Bias Training at Deltasig University. (Same as required for Tier 1 renewal – you only need to complete once)
- And at least two additional e-learning presentations from the Deltasig 101 e-learning module. To fulfill CDL requirement and receive credit, click the link in the description of the individual video.
- Demonstrate that you have participated in or have lead educational sessions at two Fraternity events within the previous two years, including:
- Check your progress.
