Collegiate Chapter Vice President - Alumni Relations

The Delta Sigma Pi collegiate chapter Vice President-Alumni Relations role includes maintaining the chapter’s ties to Fraternity alumni as well as preparing chapter members for the transition after graduation to alumni members.

Primary Responsibilities 

  • Keeping collegiate members informed of activities being sponsored by alumni chapters in their local area.
  • Serving as the liaison to alumni for chapter events to encourage their participation. 
  • Educating members of the chapter about how they can continue to be involved in Delta Sigma Pi as alumni members.
  • Ensuring the chapter understands the purpose and activities of the Delta Sigma Pi Leadership Foundation and the importance of their support of the Leadership Foundation.
  • Encouraging chapters members to update their contact information, actively seeking lost alumni and reporting found information to the Central Office.
  • Fostering relationships between the chapter and both chapter alumni and alumni living in the local area.

Other Responsibilities (if not assumed by other officers) 

  • Communicating with the chapter’s alumni, other local alumni and the Chair of the Provincial Alumni Development Committee through a chapter newsletter or other form of communication.
  • Providing timely information about the chapter and its members to the editor of The Deltasig magazine.
  • Managing Founders’ Day, Alumni Day, and Homecoming activities. Use the event planning toolkit to help you plan anniversaries, reunions or similar events to engage Deltasig alumni.
  • Overseeing the acquisition, organization and maintenance of chapter historical information.
