What is the mission of Delta Sigma Pi? What is its purpose?
The purpose of Delta Sigma Pi, as stated in the preamble to our bylaws, is: "Delta Sigma Pi is a professional fraternity organized to foster the study of business in universities; to encourage scholarship, social activity and the association of students for their mutual advancement by research and practice; to promote closer affiliation between the commercial world and students of commerce, and to further a higher standard of commercial ethics and culture and the civic and commercial welfare of the community."

Delta Sigma Pi currently has 305 chartered collegiate chapters, of which 224 are currently active, and 55 currently franchised alumni chapters located around the country.

How should I refer to the Fraternity?
Most pledges and members refer to the Fraternity as Delta Sigma Pi. The name of our magazine is
The DELTASIG, and members often call the organization Deltasig. Our members are often referred to as Deltasigs—always spelled as one word rather than two—as in, "We're Deltasigs for life" or "I'm proud to be a Deltasig." The organization is less commonly referred to as DSP, derived from our Greek letters, ΔΣΠ.
What is the difference between fees and dues?
Basically, pledges pay fees to join the Fraternity, and initiated collegiate members pay dues to offset costs of certain Fraternity activities. Additionally, fees may also be charged for a service, such as leasing badges, regalia maintenance, insurance, and interest on past due accounts. Some alumni chapters also charge local dues to alumni members who would like to join the alumni chapter.
What is a startup group?
A group of students may organize as a fraternity to petition Delta Sigma Pi to charter a chapter on their campus. This group is referred to as a
startup group.
