In mentoring programs, Delta Sigma Pi combines our commitment to community service with our desire to build and serve the next generation of business and civic leaders. Mentoring is a great way for Delta Sigma Pi collegiate members to give back to their communities and to the Fraternity.
Ways to Mentor:
- Mentor local at-risk youth through programs like Big Brothers/Big Sisters. Your chapter can host events as a group or members can participate in their own mentorship relationship. Similar programs can make excellent ongoing projects, as well as being personally rewarding for participants.
- If you want something more business related, chapters can support programs such as Junior Achievement to reach out into their communities and teach young students the importance of business.
- Chapters can also work with other organizations and local schools to create mentorship opportunities. Another option is to have older students mentor young students on campus.
- Support the cause of Literacy by organizing reading programs, book donation drives, tutoring services, family literacy workshops, reading events, financial literacy workshops, health literacy workshops and more.
