The Stevens Startup Group began their journey in February 2023. By spring 2023 they were already hosting events like a mock interview professional event and a Krispy Kreme fundraising event. The group continued recruiting throughout the spring term and
held a recruitment event each month. During the fall term they held their remaining four professional events, all four of their service events and their remaining fundraising event.
The chartering group includes 31 individuals with varying backgrounds, identities, interests, and experiences from New Jersey, New York and California. In addition to Delta Sigma Pi volunteers and staff, the Stevens Startup Group has significant support
from the Stevens Institute of Technology’s School of Business staff and faculty to help identify potential members, resources, and additional support.
Stevens Institute of Technology was founded in 1870 and has over 8,000 students. The Stevens School of Business and Leadership offers bachelor's, master's, and doctoral level degrees focused on the intersection of cutting-edge technology and strategic
management. The mission of the Stevens Institute of Technology mission is to “inspire, nurture and educate leaders in tomorrow's technology-centric environment while contributing to the solution of the most challenging problems of our time.”
From the beginning, Empire Regional Vice President Charles Weening has “been impressed with their interest in chapter operations. They are already performing very similar to a collegiate chapter and have demonstrated strong vision in their recently
submitted strategic plans. Their humble and hungry approach will support brothers, chapters and the Fraternity in capitalizing on strengths and fortifying improvements."
You can help ensure the soon-to-be chapter is equipped with the financial resources needed to succeed. Gifts to the Omega Rho Chapter Leadership Fund will directly assist collegiate members in attending the Fraternity's educational and leadership development
programs. Click here to make a gift today.
