Fraternity Board Meeting Minutes in Seconds

    Actions:

    • Approved to send bylaws amendments as a mail vote of the Grand Chapter, set to mail October 1:
      • Adjust the size of the board to 14 members.
      • Create a Grand President Elect position.
      • Establish additional minimum standards for Finance Committee membership.
    • Discussed proposed modifications to the existing chapter support roles, including Provincial Vice President, Regional Vice President and Assistant District Director, taking no action. 
    • Approved a budget plan for the 2025 Grand Chapter Congress and candidate/new Grand Officer trainings. This includes a Congress budget deficit and reallocation of expenses and grant dollars previously dedicated to a Post-GCC Leadership Retreat. 
    • Established prioritization list for selecting a 2029 Grand Chapter Congress host city.
    • Approved delegating the selection of future LEAD Provincial Conference dates and locations to the Executive Director. 
    • Approved to proceed with contracting a new membership database pending additional due diligence.
    • The Board directed the Finance Committee to review disparity in costs between incumbent Grand Officers and other candidates for office.
    • Board supported the National Community Service Committee’s recommendation to select literacy as Delta Sigma Pi’s National Service initiative. Make a Difference Day will also continue as a primary initiative. 
    • 2022 National Collegian of the Year Christian Loeb and former Leadership Foundation Executive Vice President Jeanine Triplett were accepted into the Golden Council. 
    • Waived the four-year waiting period to establish a startup group at a campus where a chapter previously existed (George Mason University) as we have received interest and support from the campus.
    • Supported Leadership Foundation's use of Venmo at events.
    • Failed a recommendation to update startup group policies and expectations and directed staff to submit a revised recommendation after discussion.
