Presidents' Academy wins 2024 Outstanding Professional Program Award

Aug 02, 2024 – The Professional Fraternity Association (PFA) awarded the program for the second time.

The PFA honors professional programs with the recognition for the administration of a meritorious professional program or project. Presidents’ Academy previously won this honor in 2019.

Introduced in 2019, Presidents' Academy is a national professional development program available to chapter presidents. This program is designed to equip collegiate chapter presidents to develop their leadership potential in a way that has immediate benefits to them personally, the chapters they lead and the Fraternity as a whole.

The 2024 event focused on the unveiling of Delta Sigma Pi’s new vision: To be a lifelong community of inclusive leaders committed to creating a world in which everyone can prosper in business and beyond. Attendees had the opportunity to hear and network with 2024 National Honorary Initiate, Maxine Clark, Founder and Former CEO of Build-A-Bear Workshop on her extensive career and community work. Learn more about Maxine.

Attendees of the 2024 Presidents’ Academy were asked to fill out a survey rating their experience. Here is a sampling of the feedback they shared:

  • Nearly 98% of attendees recommend future presidents attend the event.
  • More than 96% strongly agree or agree that they look forward to utilizing their peer coach and other connections made at Presidents’ Academy to further their leadership development.
  • Chapter Presidents enjoyed time spent with each other in close-knit settings. The three top rated activities of the weekend were small group activities, the etiquette dinner, and mealtime roundtable discussions.
