VPPA Joan Michelle Pagaragan discussed the event and the countless hours put in to make it a success. "PIN emerged from the idea that we wanted Rho Chi to not only be competitive with other clubs in our business school, but to also host the best and most diverse PIN out of all clubs. As Delta Sigma Pi, we uphold the ideals of professionalism to an extreme standard and in order for us, as the youngest club in our business school to showcase our professionalism, we wanted to reach out to the community and deliver an experience all professionals would want to attend in the semesters to come."

The chapter invited more than 40 professionals from companies like Deloitte, Ernst and Young, Merrill Lynch, Hawaii Tourism Authority, Hammik Media, Enterprise Rent-A-Car, Hawaiian Airlines, Aflac and Hilton to attend the event. Next, Pagaragan matched up 42 brothers with 42 professionals for a total of three networking rounds. The first networking round was the longest, where attendees enjoyed a buffet dinner with their first round match. The last two rounds consisted of 30-minute interview sessions.

To prepare brothers for PIN, Hawaii-Manoa creates multiple workshops each year over topics like resume building, making the most out of LinkedIn and more.

The event was made possible with sponsors from State Farm, Oahu Transportation Services, Xerox Hawaii and The Sugar Hut - all of whom the chapter is very grateful for.

According to Pagaragan, "Students have the opportunity to put forward the skills and knowledge they have learned in college to test and see how they perform in front of professionals. Those that excel beyond the expectations from professionals usually get offered internship or even potential full-time opportunities. In the end, the relationships that are fostered from this event will last beyond one night, because as young professionals in Delta Sigma Pi, we understand the idea that to succeed in business "It isn't always what you know, but who you know."
