Delta Sigma Pi opened its first Central Office in Chicago, IL when the growing organization saw the need for a centralized support and administrative office. However, as the post-World War II boom years led to even greater growth for Delta Sigma Pi, the Central Office outgrew its Chicago location and Fraternity leadership made plans to move to a larger location near other fraternity headquarters.
In 1957, the Central Office moved, joining other fraternities based in Oxford, OH, close to Cincinnati and the campus of Miami University. The DELTASIG captured the details of the new office in a detailed article in its November 1957 edition. Thirty years later, The DELTASIG commemorated the office again, tracing the history of the building and evolution of Central Office activities in its November 1986 issue.
Then, in 2009, Delta Sigma Pi laid the cornerstone for a new Central Office expansion. Delta Sigma Pi members from around the world helped to fund the construction, with donor names engraved on bricks for the new courtyard. Although renovations were completed in 2011, the work of the Fraternity continues to grow, and members may still dedicate bricks by participating in the Building on Brotherhood Brick Campaign to further Delta Sigma Pi’s impact in the lives of students and business leaders worldwide, and have their names remembered in the courtyard for years to come.
