Summer Internships in D.C. Available

Nov 16, 2016 – Delta Sigma Pi partners with The Fund for American Studies to provide exclusive scholarships to attend their two-month summer session.

Held in Washington D.C., The Institute on Business and Government Affairs combines internships and academic credit from George Mason University. The summer program also includes professional development seminars, exclusive briefings and lectures led by prominent business experts.

The Institute offers three $2,000 scholarships for the program (exclusively to Delta Sigma Pi members). In fact, 70 percent of students receive some type of funding based on financial need. Brothers who do not receive one of the DSP scholarships are still eligible for general scholarships determined by need and merit.

The program not only offers internships with companies like AT&T, Ebay, Siemens, Ford Motor Company and more, it offers class credit, housing on George Washington University's campus, guest lectures, professional development and networking.

Congratulations to these brothers who attended the summer of 2016:

- Nicholas Lubrani, South Florida-Tampa
- Alyse Andre, San Francisco
- Madison Roberts, Texas Christian

According to Nicholas Lubrani, South Florida-Tampa, "The program and overall experience was truly incredible. The greatest benefit is that my professional network is now twice as strong as it was before, and I've made some connections that will last a lifetime. The experience allowed me to gain exposure to the most professional of settings, boosted my confidence and helped me learn what it is I want to do when I graduate. I was bummed when my internship was over because D.C. is truly like any other place. I highly recommend it to all my brothers!"

Interested in applying? Applications are accepted on a rolling basis until March 14. It's best to apply early, however, because those that apply by December 6 receive a 5 percent tuition discount and those that apply by February 8 receive consideration for scholarships. Delta Sigma Pi members must indicate their affiliation on the application to be eligible for special scholarships.
