Held in Washington D.C.,
the program on Business and Government Relations combines internships and academic credit from George Mason University. The summer program also includes professional development seminars, exclusive briefings and lectures led by prominent business experts.
The program offers three $2,000 scholarships (exclusively to Delta Sigma Pi members). In fact, over 85 percent of students receive some type of funding based on financial need. Brothers who do not receive one of the Deltasig scholarships are still eligible for general scholarships determined by need and merit.
The program has been running academic internship programs for over 50 years and through their comprehensive program all participants will be placed in an internship within one of the following types of organizations:
- Government affairs office of a major corporation
- Industry trade association
- Private lobbying firm
Their staff works to place you with an organization that fits your skills and career goals. You'll gain real-world experience that will set you apart when it's time to find your first job after graduation.

You will get the chance to live in the heart of Washington D.C. on George Washington University's campus, just steps from the Lincoln Memorial and Department of State. Roommate matching with other program participants is included.

Ryan Van Dusen, who interned with the World Shipping Council said of his experience, "By my second day, I was sitting in a boardroom with industry executives from a variety of countries as part of the Environmental Advisory Committee and discussing the implications of groundbreaking U.N. regulations of greenhouse gases... it was surreal to meet and discuss issues in the House and Senate with members of Congress and attend hearings on vital subjects such as Infrastructure and Transportation. My internship helped change the way I view the world and if not for anything else, that's why I came to D.C."
