The gift was presented at this year's Grand Chapter Congress Alumni Recognition Lunch, held on August 15. The Enterprise Holdings Foundation is the philanthropic arm of Enterprise Holdings, which, through its integrated global network of independent regional subsidiaries and franchises, operates the Enterprise Rent-A-Car, National Car Rental and Alamo Rent A Car brands.
Daffany Murphy, Vice President of Human Resources for Enterprise in Atlanta, and Heather Kahl, Enterprise Group Talent Acquisition Manager, attended this year's Grand Chapter Congress event to present the check donation to Delta Sigma Pi Past Grand President and Leadership Foundation Trustee Onuka Ibe and Delta Sigma Pi Grand President and Leadership Foundation Trustee Tricia Smith.
The gift from the Enterprise Holdings Foundation will be used to support the Fraternity's newly established annual Presidents' Academy. First held in January 2019, the inaugural Presidents' Academy is a new opportunity to bring the Fraternity's top chapter leadership together for a weekend of learning, growth and development of leadership skills that have immediate benefits to chapter leaders and the Fraternity as a whole.
The donation is also a testament to Enterprise's confidence in the potential of Delta Sigma Pi's educational programming and its commitment to professional excellence. In fact, Delta Sigma Pi and Enterprise have a longstanding relationship and have worked together for six years to promote career opportunities at over 200 campuses nationwide where the Fraternity has active chapters. Through the partnership, Enterprise hires more than 100 Delta Sigma Pi members annually into the company's Management Training and Internship programs.
