Videos must be submitted by July 31, 2020 for consideration by a committee of volunteers.
Videos will be judged by the following criteria:
- Should be 2-3 minutes in length.
- Feature all aspects of collegiate chapter membership, including professional events, community service, brotherhood, values, etc.
- Highlight the diversity of our brotherhood.
- Appeal to many campus settings (not branded to one specific chapter, campus or region).
- Overall visual and video appeal.
- You are welcome to adapt previously-used chapter recruitment videos.
- Feel free to include credits at the end acknowledging the individual(s) and chapter(s) who created the video.
Videos should:
- Be professional (see what not to include below).
- Include "Delta Sigma Pi" not just the Greek letters.
- Use proper logos, colors and terminology (such as recruitment, not rush).
- State only business and economic majors (or pre-business) are eligible to join.
- Reference the Fraternity being co-ed.
- Show a realistic picture of what the organization is about by including scenes/photos/mentions of actual chapter events.
- Use open source/royalty-free music. If the music contains lyrics, the words should represent Delta Sigma Pi.
Additional items to consider including:
- Fraternity information:
- Over 285,000 initiated members
- A large network of brothers with more than 200 collegiate chapters and 50 alumni chapters
- National leadership training opportunities
- National scholarship opportunities
- Non-discrimination statement
- National social media handles
Videos should not:
- Include racist, anti-Semitic, homo/transphobic, sexist thoughts or phrases
- Depict paddles
- Include hand signs (i.e. brothers making “Delta” with their hands)
- The use of this symbol is trademarked by a fellow Greek organization, therefore it is not approved for use in Delta Sigma Pi communications and promotions.
- Show images of, or images that could be associated with alcohol use (such as red solo cups and brothers holding cans/bottles)
To submit before the July 31 deadline, please send a video link or raw video files to magazine@dsp.org. If selected, video files must be provided. Upon submission, Delta Sigma Pi owns all rights to the footage.
