Brother Samuel is a Human Resources Culture Consultant at Target Corporation. In this role, he ensures awareness, understanding and adoption of Target’s culture vision and values throughout the enterprise. His ability to effectively build relationships
in conjunction with his strategic mindset consistently drives Target’s business forward, while setting others up for success. 
No stranger to change, Adekunle has held five roles across five divisions in his 12 year career at Target. This variety of experience has allowed him to see what enhances and what hinders a team. He is consistently working with various teams to promote
diversity, equity & inclusion either directly through is culture role at Target or through the platform given to him through Target’s African-American Business Council.
Outside of work, Adekunle is heavily involved in organizations such as Delta Sigma Pi’s Twin Cities Alumni Chapter and Rotary Club, and he is on the Alumni Association Board of Directors at his alma-mater, the University of Wisconsin-La Crosse.
In his spare time, he enjoys spending time with his wife Laura, Drake (IA), along with cooking, biking, golfing and coaching a local high school junior varsity soccer team.
Adekunle will present It’s Not Personal, It’s Interpersonal! on Wednesday afternoon. During the session, attendees will learn about the importance of utilizing interpersonal skills in everyday life to build long-lasting relationships
both personally and professionally. They will also learn how to effectively collaborate with others and how to showcase empathy. He will also discuss the importance of developing an inclusive culture in organizations and some strategies on how to
do so.
