In May, the Farmer School of Business at Miami University recognized the most academically talented seniors in the graduating class. Jurado was honored during graduation for her academic excellence and campus involvement. In May, Nicole graduated
summa cum laude with a bachelor’s degree in marketing and entrepreneurship.
To Brother Jurado the award ceremony was “a bittersweet experience where I honored and bid farewell to those who shaped my journey at Miami University: my Deltasig brothers, my professors and my family.”
When asked what this recognition means to her, Nicole spoke on being born into a family of immigrants and how her background—and her entrepreneurial dreams—pushed her to be passionate and driven in her academic and professional life today.
Some of Nicole’s favorite memories come from her time with Delta Sigma Pi. “Finding a home away from home wasn't easy, but the Fraternity allowed me to truly be myself and enrich both my social and professional life…My closest friends
in Deltasig taught me a vital lesson: the only thing truly within our control is our attitude. Together, we chose to embrace every moment with positivity and joy.”
Outside of Delta Sigma Pi, Nicole was involved with the Entrepreneurship Start-Up Weekend and Social-Innovation Weekend on campus. During these programs she helped students develop businesses from scratch. She was also the South America Director of
the Miami University Community for Creativity and Innovation (MUCCI), where she collaborated with global companies.
Among the Honors Day Award, Nicole was also awarded the Scholar Leader's Scholarship from Miami University for completing over 40 service hours each semester. She was also awarded the “Corporate Innovator” Award from the Department of
Entrepreneurship.
Professionally, Nicole has completed internships with The Janssen Pharmaceutical Companies of Johnson & Johnson, Social EntrepreneurU, and MARMIND, a leading SaaS company for MRM solutions based in Vienna, Austria.
