When Andrew started at Arizona State, he knew he wanted to join Delta Sigma Pi because of the professional development opportunities the Fraternity offers and so he could create a business network with students and alumni in business. Andrew never dreamed a few short years later he would be our 2024 National Collegian of the Year!

Brother Amazeen could not believe it when he received national recognition! “Ever since finding out [I was selected], I’ve been very excited to serve on the Board of Directors. I have been communicating with 2023 COY Sydney Sampson-Webb about what we would like to accomplish as the two most recent COYs… It’s extremely exciting to have new ways to give back to the Fraternity, and I feel reinvigorated knowing there are different ways I can do that now.”

Andrew is no stranger to hard work as a senior currently finishing his bachelor’s degrees in accountancy, business data analytics and computer information systems. He is excited to put forth his ideas and vision for Delta Sigma Pi. He wants the Fraternity to continue to follow the vision for the future and said he “want[s] to see all our brothers succeed”.

“One area that I am particularly interested in is developing collegiate brothers so they can and want to stay involved as alumni. As such, I'd like to make myself available as a resource to collegiate members who want to get involved but do not know how,” said Andrew.

Andrew has served Gamma Omega Chapter in multiple capacities: President, Vice President-Finance, and as a chapter delegate at Provincial Council meetings and Grand Chapter Congresses, presenting at two separate events in the past year. He is also heavily involved nationally, having served on the Collegiate Advisory Committee for two years and currently serving on the National Professional Development Committee.

His favorite Deltasig memory so far is his first national event, the 2022 Grand Chapter Congress in Cleveland. “I was the only attendee from my chapter and when I made it to the registration table, I met Laurie Gail Senko, Arizona State. She is an amazing figure within our organization. Connecting with amazing alumni helped influence me to get more involved in our organization and think beyond my collegiate chapter. That was the turning point for me, and I would not be where I am today without going to Cleveland.”

Outside of his involvement with Deltasig, he is a part of Barrett, The Honors College at Arizona State, the W.P. Carey Leaders Academy, an honorary distinction for business students, and Beta Gamma Sigma, a business honor society. After graduation, he will be studying for a masters in the accounting and data analytics program and already has job offer as a risk & financial advisory - technology analyst at Deloitte for 2025. In his free time, Andrew enjoys watching sports, especially Formula 1 racing, and his newest interest is playing golf!

“I love talking about Delta Sigma Pi, and if anyone wants to chat, I enjoy connecting with brothers from across the country. For collegiate brothers, I want to be available to help widen their horizons past their local chapters. I know it can be easy to stick to what is happening at your university, but Delta Sigma Pi has so much more to offer,” said Andrew.
