Foundation Annual Report

The 2022-23 Annual Report for the Delta Sigma Pi Leadership Foundation is published in the November 2023 issue of The Deltasig. This webpage, in addition to other news stories, supplement the information found in the magazine.

Continued Growth for the Leadership Foundation!

Growth and Success! Delta Sigma Pi Leadership Foundation is pleased to report the 2022-2023 year celebrated many successes and overall growth. These achievements are the result of great dedication, effort and financial support from many wonderful Deltasigs and friends. We sincerely thank you for your contributions. Our current and future members will benefit from your generosity.

Our recurring giving program, Deltasig For Life Donor (DFLD), continues to provide much-needed and appreciated support from its contributors. While celebrating 10 years since its inception, the Leadership Foundation Trustees expanded the DFLD recogntion program to include more than a dozen funds that provide operational support of the Leadership Foundation and support maintaining Fraternity grants. Recurring gifts can be set monthly, quarterly or annually to best fit a donor’s giving needs.

The fifth year of our Deltasig Investors Roundtable attracted 174 seats, a 10% increase from the previous year. This premier giving society asks members to contribute at least $1,200 in annual support, which may be unrestricted or restricted.

The Living Legacy Society program continues. Donors “enroll” by including the Leadership Foundation in their estate planning, wills and/or life insurance. New additions to the program bring the membership to 114. Please consider joining them.

Our peer-to-peer online fundraising continues to grow and exceed expectations with the Founders’ Day Challenge (FDC) (annually November 7-8) and the 4/25 Alumni Day Drive (annually April 23-25). Every year, FDC raises money primarily for the Chapter Leadership Funds which support chapter activity and National event attendance, while the 4/25 Alumni Day Drive targets gifts to the Deltasig Fund. The 4/25 Alumni Day Drive celebrated much growth — raising more than $95,000 in 2023.

A result of recent generous giving is the Building A Significant Endowment (BASE) Fund. The endowment helps support the business costs of raising, investing, and distributing charitable dollars to support our members. The significant gifts and commitments make a “big impact” on funds raised and the BASE Fund pledges show a large increase in our assets. With 19 BASE Founders that have been celebrated, we now continue growing BASE by creating the new BASE Society with the BASE Builder and Bridge Funder opportunities.

We are excited about our future – and our continued growth and successes to celebrate! The Fraternity and Foundation are moving in a direction that will be transformational. We look forward to working together to continually improve and advance Delta Sigma Pi as we strive to build business leaders.

All gifts (unrestricted and restricted) in a given fiscal year (July to June) count towards an individual’s membership. Joining the Roundtable can be accomplished in a variety of ways, depending on your annual philanthropic goals. You can make a one-time investment  or recurring monthly/quarterly investments. You can also make a five-year investment by establishing a financial pledge with the Leadership Foundation. Roundtable members make a true investment in the future of the Deltasig brotherhood and ensure a quality Fraternity and professional development experience is provided to future business leaders.

Tribute Gifts

A memorial gift or a gift in honor of someone is an appropriate way to recognize a special Deltasig, while at the same time making an impact on Delta Sigma Pi’s future.

A memorial gift is an appropriate way to recognize someone’s life and accomplishments. Donations may be made in any amount. Once received, a personalized note will be sent in the donor’s name to the honoree or family member notifying them of this kind gesture. A memorial gift allows a donor to pay tribute to a departed member, friend, parent or son. Memorial contributions are often made in lieu of flowers or sympathy cards.

An honorary gift is an appropriate way to recognize someone’s life and accomplishments. Donations may be made in any amount. Once received, a personalized note will be sent in the donor’s name to the honoree or family member notifying them of this kind gesture. An honorary gift allows a donor to commemorate a member, friend, parent or child on special occasions by making a gift in their name. Honorary contributions can be made to celebrate a birthday, anniversary, retirement, holiday, award, volunteer service or any other special occasion.
