The race was held in downtown Denver on October 4, and nearly 20 brothers helped to put together “finisher mugs”. The mugs were part of the award winning goodie bags that included chocolate fondue kits for runners after they completed the race. The chapter enjoyed the completing the hands-on work together.
VP-Community Service Kaitlyn Hertzog, suggested this event for the chapter to volunteer at because she is running in the same event in Scottsdale, Arizona in December. After she registered for the upcoming race, she thought it would be a great new community service event for the chapter. The planning process took about a month and chapter members were very excited about the idea. Alpha Nu is considering volunteering there again since they had so much fun working together while supporting a local event.
