St. Joseph’s Celebrates the Life of Casey Doolin with Fundraiser

Oct 22, 2015 – PHILADELPHIA—Zeta Pi Chapter at St. Joseph’s hosted their second annual Golf Outing at Broad Run Golfer’s Club in West Chester, Penn.
In September, 75 golfers including alumni, collegians, friends and family hit the links in the four person scramble outing in memory of Casey Doolin, St. Joseph’s. VP-Alumni Relations Rebecca Rosati was an instrumental member of the Golf Outing committee and did an excellent job planning this event. Over the summer, she secured sponsors in order to host this event at the beginning of the semester.
The Second Annual Golf Outing was a great way to reunite brothers across generations. Current collegians had the opportunity to give updates on our chapter’s events and operations. At the same time, alumni told stories about the chapter from years past. It was great to see that our chapter has evolved over the years, but maintained the same values,” said Brother Rosati.
Rebecca’s favorite aspect of Delta Sigma Pi is maintaining relationships with brothers. She believes that since alumni laid the foundation for their chapter, their connection to Delta Sigma Pi should exist far after graduation. One way they’ve stayed connected is celebrating Casey Doolin’s life. Casey, who passed away from cancer in 2013, is still very close to their hearts. They raised more than $4,500 for the Casey E. Doolin Memorial.

As a chapter, they would like to thank those that made this event possible, including Broad Run Golfer’s Club, the beautiful course that hosted their outing. The chapter is also thankful for all the help the Club provided and for welcoming the chapter’s guests. The day would not have been possible without the Club’s support.
They would also like to thank their generous sponsors including Ernst & Young, Johnson Matthey Inc., and Propper at the Gold level ($1,000); AETI and Atlantic Infrared at the Silver level ($500); KMPG, John P. Thompson Jr., Stan Tilton, PwC, Steamfitter’s Local Union 420 at the Bronze level ($250); the Hole-in-One Vehicle Prize sponsor North Penn Volkswagen; and the Hole Sponsors ($100): Dominic Guiseppe & Family (Class of 1973), Jackson Cross Partners, Jeffery A. Wertz (Black Hole Garage), Law Office of Timothy Higgins, Nicole Taylor (Class of 2016), the Rosati Family, VFW Post #4480, and Zurich.
