The event included a panel discussion that covered standard interview questions, including how to answer behavioral and technical questions. Following the panel, the chapter conducted one-on-one resume critiques with the attendees.
The event was open to all Northeastern students, and was catered to business majors, specifically members of the organizations hosting the event. Of the 60 people in attendance, 15 were brothers and five were pledges of Delta Sigma Pi.
Chapter President Jon Dumont reached out to the Finance and Investment Club and coordinated the event between the two organizations. The chapter supported this event because many brothers looking for co-ops/internships used the workshop to help enhance their interview skills and obtain feedback on their resume. They also wanted to co-host the event because it helped to increase their presence on their campus.
By co-hosting this workshop, Sigma Omega built a friendly relationship with the Finance and Investment Club and created opportunities to coordinate future events with them. Brothers and pledges who attended the event gained valuable advice and tips to improve their professional image.
