Columbia (SC)
Each year, the Columbia (SC) Alumni Chapter hosts an annual Christmas Party where brothers reflect on the calendar year successes, major events, and even the unfortunate losses. Last year was extra special when James Roper, South Carolina, proposed to his girlfriend. He proposed at the party because two years prior when she attended the event with him and mingled on her own, he knew she was the one. For more information about the chapter or upcoming events, please contact Gabe Cossio at gabecossio@gmail.com.
Dallas Area
In February, the Dallas Area Alumni Chapter hosted a professional program about the home buying process. After moving to Dallas a few years ago, Venus Jones, Florida State, met Patrick Glaros, a mortgage loan planner for First Choice Loan Services in Dallas. Jones, who is a realtor for The Waller Group, would later learn Glaros is a brother from Southern Methodist University. Together they teamed up to give a well-rounded presentation home buying. Venus provided information on how to look for a home, how the market works, and even presented several properties available in both the urban and suburban areas of Dallas. Patrick then discussed different programs for first time buyers, how credit affects the process and how brothers can improve their credit situation.

Oklahoma City Tornado Alley Alumni Chapter prides itself on serving the community and does this by volunteering at the Regional Food Bank of Oklahoma. The chapter plans to help again this fall. Not only does this event allow chapter members to help feed thousands of families within Oklahoma, it also provides an opportunity to bond with other brothers. In addition to serving the community, the chapter hosts happy hours the third Thursday of each month and will be having a planning meeting in June.
