Facilitating Membership Growth

Nov 08, 2016 – Delta Sigma Pi continues to grow by leaps and bounds. In May 2010, Pi Chi at California-Santa Cruz earned our 270th charter, bringing the (then) active chapter roster to 200, the most in our history.

We have far surpassed this number, with plans to install our 294th chapter later this year at Stony Brook University on Long Island, NY. This will move our active chapter roster to 222.

We cannot continue to grow without support from our alumni members and university officials who see the value in our membership. With sufficient business enrollment and permission from the university, we always seek connections and opportunities to re-open closed chapters as well as embark upon the additional 400 campuses that have business enrollments that can sustain a successful chapter. We have three colonies now and are seeking to begin several more this year at high interest sites for new chapters across the country. Personal referrals to business students or faculty are quite valuable in helping Delta Sigma Pi expand even further. As the chapter roster increases, so does the number of our brothers.  On November 23, 2013, Iota Psi Chapter at Texas A&M-Corpus Christi initiated Cameron Cardenas as the 250,000th member of our brotherhood.  This comes exactly 10 years after our 200,000th member was initiated. We now have more than 265,000 members with approximately 6,000 new members being initiated each year.

These new members are diverse in gender, age and intended industry after graduation. Delta Sigma Pi is one of if not the most diverse organizations and we continue to seek reflecting diversity in our growth and programming efforts.
