When then VPPA Will DeAngelis learned that two Fisher representatives were coming to campus to participate in the university's career fair, it was a "no brainer" to invite them to network with brothers.
Knowing about Delta Sigma Pi's successful career partnership with Fisher, DeAngelis saw a great opportunity and sent out an invite via Slack to his brothers. After the career fair, more than 25 members met with the reps, who gave a meaningful and interesting presentation.
"During the presentation, Fisher gave us a lot of information about how their investing strategy differs from other firms," said DeAngelis. "A lot of brothers found this information to be helpful, especially the ones considering two or three job offers, as a lot of what they presented was about what companies are doing to support employees."
Graduating brothers were also encouraged to apply for positions, of which several did!
After the presentation, everyone stuck around to chat with the reps. "It was really great to talk to them about their personal experience with Fisher, how they ended up with the job, and where they hope to take their careers from here," recalled DeAngelis. "The representatives also had a great time chatting with brothers about internships, different resources to use for job hunting, and of course where they could get the best cheese curds that evening (it's Wisconsin, after all)."
Psi brothers enjoyed learning about internship and full-time opportunities with Delta Sigma Pi partner Fisher Investments.
