On November 10, 2018, the Fraternity will reinstall its Omicron Chapter at Vanderbilt University!
Omicron was originally installed at Vanderbilt January 29, 1922 and initiated 73 men before abandoning its charter in 1931, being unable to sustain operations with sufficient membership. Undergraduate enrollment at Vanderbilt exceeds 6,500 and the largest major on campus with nearly 700 students is the Department of Economics.
The colony officially began May 9, 2017 following a student inquiry seeking opportunities offered through a professional business and economics organization.
The Vanderbilt Colony has participated in numerous professional and volunteer opportunities including:
- Welcoming professional speakers from companies like Uber, Google, Eller Enterprises and Accenture
- Collecting pop tabs for and delivering baked goods to their local Ronald McDonald House Charities
- Hosting interview and Career Center workshops
- Providing Risk Management presentations
