Steve Aust will serve as Associate Director of Communications, overseeing all Deltasig communications, including emails, web, social media and print.
Steve graduated from the University of Georgia with a bachelor’s degree in journalism. He is a member of Sigma Pi Fraternity, helping to reestablish their Alpha Phi Chapter while attending Georgia. For 16 years, he told stories about the people,
projects and processes of the sign industry for Signs of the Times Magazine, a trade publication that has served that industry since 1906. He later served as marketing manager for Cima Network, a large Philadelphia-area sign company. Most
recently, he worked as a freelance writer, editor and proofreader.
Steve has been married to his wife, Karen, for 16 years, and they have a 14-year-old daughter, Annabel, who attends Cincinnati’s School for the Creative and Performing Arts and is an aspiring filmmaker. In his spare time, he enjoys travel (favorite
place: San Diego; New Orleans and Portland, Ore. top his travel wish list), reading (favorite authors: Alexander McCall Smith and Greg Iles), music (favorite concerts: Johnny Cash, Ray Charles, and Nirvana), cooking (spicy food), cheering on his Georgia
Bulldogs, and exercise (he completed his first half-marathon this spring and is aiming to run the full 26.2 miles next year).
We are very excited about the experience and opportunities Steve brings to our organization! Send your congratulations along with Deltasig new story ideas to him at
steve@dsp.org.
