Pursuant
to policy P.1.C of the Policy and Procedure Manual, this message serves as
official notice of an election for the position of Regional Vice President (RVP) for the South Pacific Region. Nominations are now being accepted to fill the
vacant position. The term will span from the conclusion of the vote at the Western Provincial Council Meeting until the full-term election for the South Pacific RVP at Grand Chapter Congress in August.
While nominations are taken and an election is conducted, Jen
Lee (949-274-9964, jen.lee.dsp@gmail.com)
will serve as interim Regional Vice President to aide with the transition. Upon
the close of election, the newly elected officer will immediately assume
office.
All
nominations for elective office must be submitted online using the electronic
form at http://dsp.org/nominations.
An electronic signature affirming the Code of
Conduct and conflict of interest policy is required. Nominations may be
submitted at any time, but must be received no later than 11:59 p.m. (Pacific)
on Thursday, March 9. Important nomination information may be found in
Policy P. Nominations, Campaigning and Vacancies and at www.dsp.org/candidates. In accordance with policy, Central Office staff will
verify the eligibility of those nominated.
Candidate information will be
distributed to all chapter presidents on Friday, March 10, with the caucus happening on Saturday, March 11, and election taking place Sunday, March 12, at the
Western Provincial Council Meeting in Bellevue, WA. You can still register for

An
official description of the duties of a Regional Vice President can be found in
Bylaws Article VIII and in Policy and Procedures Section L.2. The Fraternity invites all of
those who are or will be eligible to hold this office to consider this level of
