Brandon will serve as the Associate Director of Message & Brand, managing the strategic oversight of the communications team. Brandon has worked in college athletics the past 16 years, focused in several marketing, communications and sales roles across various campuses. Most recently, he has served as the associate athletic director for external operations at Wright State University in Fairborn, Ohio. Hays holds a bachelor's degree in sport management from Tennessee in 2007, as well as a master's degree from Memphis in 2009.

His experience also includes a stint at Memphis, beginning in June 2007, when he was hired as a marketing graduate assistant. As a graduate assistant, he primarily worked with the women's basketball and soccer programs. He was then promoted to the director of marketing and promotions in 2009, responsible for developing a comprehensive marketing and advertising plan for all sports, coordinating in-game promotions, and planning special events such as the FanFest for football and Memphis Madness for basketball. 

Brandon lives in Lebanon, Ohio with his wife, Cathy, and their two sons, Lincoln and Austin. In his spare time, Brandon enjoys camping with his family, live music and collecting sports cards. He is also an avid fan of his beloved Tennessee Volunteers, Dallas Cowboys, and Dallas Mavericks.
