Gayle Randall Receives Silver Helmet

Nov 14, 2019 – Gayle L. Thurman Randall, Angelo State (TX), received her Silver Helmet Award for 25 years of service to the Fraternity during the Kansas City LEAD School in November.

Randall was initiated into Delta Sigma Pi in 1988, has been a faculty member at Angelo State since 2006 and has been Eta Theta's Chapter Advisor since 2014. She is a senior instructor for the Department of Management and Marketing in the Norris-Vincent College of Business. With Randall's guidance, the chapter won National Most Improved Collegiate Chapter in 2018 and Most Outstanding Collegiate Chapter in 2019. Randall has been recognized for her efforts leading the chapter by being recognized as the Southwestern Regional Chapter Advisor of the Year in 2015, 2016, 2017 and 2019.

"A good Chapter Advisor can make a world of difference to a chapter and is one of our most important volunteer positions," said GP Tricia Smith. "So it is especially exciting to be able to present the Silver Helmet Award to one of our Chapter Advisors."

The chapter also appreciates everything Gayle does for them. "She always has the Fraternity's mission and values in mind in everything we do. She encourages people to join our organization, helps brothers out when needed, and always cheers us up when we are down," says Eta Theta SVP Cody Vasquez.
