The Deltasig Lifetime Achievement Award is presented to a member deemed to exemplify the spirit of Delta Sigma Pi by their lifetime of service, support, or brotherhood, and Fraternity, business and civic involvement.

Joelle was initiated into Eta Psi at Houston in 1987, with decades of fraternal involvement resulting in her membership. Brother Berlat has served on a national level in countless capacities - paving the way and inspiring many as the Fraternity's first female Vice President-Finance (2003-2007), and serving on numerous national committees and task forces. Joelle is a Golden Council Member, receiving her Silver Helmet in 2012 and along with her husband Jeff, also Houston, is among the Fraternity's few Centurion Lifetime giving donors.

You have likely seen Joelle at a past Fraternity event, as she has attended 12 Grand Chapter Congresses, 30 LEAD events and additional special gatherings and retreats – a level of engagement we are so inspired by.

Professionally, Joelle earned a successful career as a tax specialist with over 30 years of experience. She has enjoyed the past 18 years with Deloitte Tax LLP in Houston, where she currently serves as Managing Director. 

We are so proud to have Joelle as our 2021 Lifetime Achievement Recipient. Traditionally this honor is presented in-person at Grand Chapter Congress – however due to the event being held virtually, with an additional special in-person event in 2022 (read more about that decision here) – we will keep you informed as decisions are made to honor Joelle.
